Nursing Home Staffing

senior-resources--long-term-care-community-coalition Sufficient staffing is one of the most important indicators of a nursing home’s quality and safety yet many nursing homes fail to maintain adequate staffing. To help you find out about nursing homes in your community, the Long Term Care Community Coalition publishes a quarterly report on staffing for all nursing homes in the US.

You can find the latest quarterly report for nursing homes in your community here.

Depending on your selections, you can view the following information for each home:

  • Resident census (population)
  • Staff hours per day per resident, for all care staff or just registered nurses
  • Direct care RN (registered nurse), LPN (licensed practical nurse) and CNA (certified nursing assistant) staffing levels
